ISET’s first graduating class will complete their studies and enter the job market—or go on to Ph.D. programs overseas—in summer 2008. About 10-15% of the graduating class will be invited to stay on to work at ISET’s Research Center after graduation. Several will go on to Ph.D. degrees in Western Europe or the United States. The others will find jobs in international organizations, business, or government.
At ISET, these students have had opportunities to gain real world experience by taking part in applied research projects or participating in internships. ISET actively seeks out ways to engage international organizations, government agencies and private companies by inviting representatives to make presentations at ISET, and carrying out research for outside organizations. ISET places students in internships, such as those offered through a partnership agreement with the National Bank of Georgia.
The School provides counseling and advice to students applying for Ph.D. programs overseas, preparing for GRE and TOEFL exams, writing personal statements and CVs. ISET also provides financial assistance to help top graduates defray the application costs for Ph.D. programs overseas.
Their academic training and analytical skills—as well as research experience— make ISET graduates attractive candidates for private companies, government agencies, and international organizations.
