Our goal is to make sure that no student is denied admission for financial reasons. Thanks to generous support from a number of local and international sponsors, ISET is able to provide scholarships, educational loans, living stipends and housing support.

Approximately 50 students— the majority of the entering class— will receive scholarships to cover full or part of their tuition fee.

Come study at ISET!

All students accepted into the program will be invited to study tuition-free during the first mini-term (8 weeks in September-October 2008).

Based on performance during the first 8-week mini-term,  scholarships will be allocated as follows:

  1. Full scholarships covering 100% of tuition will be offered to about 20-25 first-year students. These scholarships will go to the students with the best grades.  Additionally, full scholarships will be reserved for the two best students from each country in the South Caucasus.
  2. Partial scholarships covering 80% or 60% of tuition costs will be offered to additional 25-30 students. Tuition level for these students will be set at the level of $1,600 and $3,200 per academic year.
Scholarships for the second year of study will be determined on the basis of academic achievement at the end of the first year study.

Educational loans: students whose family financial situation does not enable them to cover tuition costs will be assisted in obtaining educational loans from local commercial banks. ISET will provide grants to repay the loans of students who accept public service positions in the South Caucasus region upon graduation from ISET.

Living stipends. The level of stipends is based on academic achievement in each mini-term. Stipends will be paid at the beginning of every month during 10 months of the academic year as follows:
  1. Top students receive the equivalent of US$100 per month.
  2.  Other students receive the equivalent of US$80 or US$60 per month, based on performance.
During the first mini-term (September-October 2008), all students will receive living stipends of US$80/month.  In every subsequent mini-term, the level of stipends will be determined based on academic achievement in the previous mini-term.

Housing assistance. Students from Azerbaijan and Armenia will be offered housing assistance of up to US$100 for the entire duration of their studies at ISET. Georgian students who are not resident in Tbilisi and who face a difficult family situation will be offered free or subsidized housing.
