Students are encouraged to apply for admissions to ISET Master’s Program in Economics beginning on February 4, 2008. Completed applications must be submitted no later than 16:00, April 30, 2008! Early submissions are encouraged. Admissions to the program is based on merit and is open to any citizen of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and neighboring countries who holds an undergraduate diploma from an accredited institution of higher education. Qualified applicants will receive a generous financial aid package.
ISET will provide short courses to help students prepare for the entrance examinations in English and Math. The courses aim to introduce students to the structure of the exam and to provide practice with the types of exercises which may be included on the exam. Any student who has submitted an application for the ISET Master’s Degree Program (including a statement of purpose) by April 1, 2008 is eligible to take part in the preparatory course.
The admissions process consists of three main stages:

Submission of a full application package which consists of the following documents:
- Application Form which may be downloaded from ISET web-site, or obtained from our offices in Baku, Tbilisi, and Yerevan.
- Statement_of_Purpose – a one or two-page essay explaining your motivation to study economics and how a master’s degree in economics is related to your career goals and intellectual interests.

Initial admissions exams in English and Mathematics. These exams will be held simultaneously in Baku, Tbilisi, and Yerevan. Applicants from outside the South Caucasus region who find it difficult to travel to one of the three testing centers may submit GRE scores in lieu of the ISET admissions exams.
 The English exam assesses reading comprehension, written expression, and command of English grammar.
 The Mathematics exam assesses basic mathematical knowledge, thinking, and problem-solving skills. It covers topics from basic algebra, basic mathematics of finance and basic calculus.

Interviews. Those candidates who satisfactorily complete the admissions exams in English and Mathematics will be invited to an interview with the ISET Selection Committee. During the interviews, applicants should show maturity and serious motivation to study economics, demonstrate the ability to think independently and analyze events happening currently in their countries and an ability to express themselves in English. The final results of the admissions exams will be published on the ISET website by May 20, 2008. |
