Robert Tchaidze Speaks About his ISET Experience in NES Alumni Magazine

Robert Tchaidze, a former ISET professor, was recently interviewed for the New Economic School (NES) Alumni Magazine.
Robert holds Ph.D. in Economics from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD and M.A. in Economics from the New Economic School, Moscow, Russia. He joined ISET in September of 2007, after spending 5 years at the International Monetary Fund in Washington, D.C. He spent two years with ISET, among other things teaching Macroeconomic courses (first year Macro, Monetary Economics, International Finance, and a course on applied Macro analysis) and working on GDN/IPPR sponsored migration study "Development On The Move". He returned to IMF in September of 2009.
In the interview, Robert spoke about his experiences at ISET as well as similarities and differences between ISET and NES. He notes in the interview: "ISET is still establishing its name in Georgia. Once that happens, I believe there will be enormous demand for services ISET can provide either directly or by being a place for holding discussions on economics." Speaking of two years at ISET, he says "At times it was very stressful, at times rather boring, but overall it is one of the best things I have done in my life."
